Capnor Weasel Bidco Oyj Stock exchange release, inside information 16 September 2026 at 10:15 CET
iLOQ today announced the appointment of Oskar Sörensson as CEO and Johan Ek as Chairman, effective 16 September 2026, as the company enters its next phase of international growth. Heikki Hiltunen will step down as CEO and continue his involvement as an independent director on the iLOQ Board, while Tzachi Wiesenfeld will step down as Chairman and continue to support the company as an advisor and mentor.
Since 2019, when Nordic Capital invested in iLOQ, the company has nearly quadrupled sales and increased profitability five-fold, growing from a Nordic champion into a global leader in smart and digital access. The company sells in more than 60 countries through 16 selling units and an extensive distribution network. iLOQ has expanded into new segments, including the demanding critical infrastructure market. iLOQ's battery-free technology combines hardware and software in a cloud-native solution. Its strong market position and dedicated, highly motivated team, are making it a unique company in the industry.
Oskar joins iLOQ from Atlas Copco, where he spent the last 18 years, most recently as a divisional president. He brings a strong track record in global leadership within industrial technology, including developing organisations and driving superior customer value through innovative software and hardware solutions. His experience includes general management and Board assignments across Europe, the US and Asia.
Johan brings extensive experience from prior management positions and Board work, including currently being Chairman in several Nordic Capital portfolio companies. His prior CEO and senior leadership experience spans various industrial technology segments applicable to iLOQ as well as international growth agendas.
Robert Furuhjelm, Partner, Vice-Chair of the Nordic Capital Board and a Board member at iLOQ, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Oskar and Johan to their new roles at iLOQ. Their extensive international leadership and board experience make them well suited to build on iLOQ's strong position and support its continued development. Heikki and Tzachi have made significant contributions to iLOQ’s development and international growth, and Nordic Capital is grateful for their leadership and close partnership over the years. We are very pleased that they will continue to be involved with iLOQ in their new roles following the transition.”
Heikki and Tzachi have each played a defining role in iLOQ's development. Heikki joined iLOQ as CEO in 2017, succeeding the founder Mika Pukari. Under his leadership, iLOQ evolved from a battery-free digital locking company into a global intelligent access management company, expanding internationally and entering new segments. Heikki has accelerated innovation by strengthening software development and digital-service capabilities to build a differentiated, scalable platform.
Tzachi advised Nordic Capital during the 2019 iLOQ acquisition process as an industry expert and has served as Chairman ever since. He brought extensive experience from the security and access control industry, together with a strong international network, and has played a key role in building a highly effective Board, fostering strategic thinking and strong alignment across owners, management and the Board.
This leadership transition reflects the strong position iLOQ has built and its ambition to continue its international growth, led by innovation and excellence. With Oskar and Johan taking on their new roles, and with Heikki and Tzachi’s ongoing involvement following the transition, iLOQ is well positioned for its next chapter.
