Icelandair: Aircraft Mechanics Call Off Strike Action
The Icelandic Aircraft Mechanics Association (FVFÍ), representing aircraft mechanics employed by Icelandair, has called off the strike action that commenced at 00:01 on 23 September 2026.
As previously announced, the strike action resulted in disruptions to Icelandair’s flight operations and a number of flight cancellations earlier today. Following the withdrawal of the strike action, Icelandair expects its flight schedule to return to normal from later today.
