PG Soft has strengthened its leadership team in Latin America with the appointment of Hugo Baungartner as General Manager LatAm, a move designed to accelerate the supplier's commercial growth across the region.
Baungartner will oversee PG Soft's expansion strategy throughout Latin America while leading the company's operations in Brazil, where it has already established a significant foothold in the regulated market.
The appointment comes at a key moment for Brazil's gaming industry, with the country's regulated sector continuing to mature and further regulatory developments expected in the coming months. PG Soft is aiming to build on its momentum while expanding into additional regulated markets across the region.
With more than 29 years' experience spanning technology and gaming, Baungartner joins PG Soft after holding senior positions at Grupo Aposta Ganha, RCT Gaming, Prohards and Esportes Gaming Brasil.
Throughout his career, he has developed strong relationships with regulators, industry bodies and government organisations across Latin America, including Brazil's Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF), the Federal Revenue Service and COAF, as well as Mexico's Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos and AIEJA.
PG Soft has continued to invest in the region through major industry events, including its sponsorship of BiS SiGMA South America in São Paulo earlier this year, highlighting its long-term commitment to Latin America.
Hugo Baungartner, General Manager LatAm at PG Soft, commented:
"PG Soft's brand needs no introduction in Latin America thanks to its extensive portfolio of world-class, mobile-first games that resonate strongly with players. The company is only just getting started in the region, and I look forward to building on its success in Brazil while expanding PG Soft's presence across regulated markets throughout Latin America."
