Encare AB has signed an agreement with FV Hospital (Far East Medical Vietnam), its first partner hospital in Vietnam, to implement Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®) across two surgical pathways: colorectal surgery and hip and knee arthroplasty. FV Hospital is a private hospital in Ho Chi Minh City and part of Thomson Medical Group, one of Southeast Asia’s leading healthcare groups.

FV Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City becomes Encare’s first partner hospital in Vietnam.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden and HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, 7 October 2026 – As part of the collaboration, FV Hospital’s clinical teams will participate in the ERAS® Implementation Program (EIP) to implement ERAS® in Colorectal and Hip & Knee Arthroplasty. The programme is delivered by ERAS® Society appointed trainers, and Encare’s ERAS® Interactive Audit System (EIAS) will be used to monitor guideline adherence and patient outcomes.
By combining structured implementation with continuous measurement, FV Hospital can identify areas for improvement and support consistent use of evidence-based practices in clinical care. The goal is to improve surgical outcomes and support FV Hospital on its path towards ERAS® Qualification, independently assessed by the ERAS® Society.
“Establishing our first partnership in Vietnam with FV Hospital is an important step for Encare in Asia-Pacific. As part of Thomson Medical Group, FV is a well-established healthcare provider in the region and a strong first partner for us in the Vietnamese market. This collaboration builds on our existing presence in Asia-Pacific and marks another step in Encare’s international expansion,” said Rasmus Waller, CEO of Encare.
Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon, CEO of FV Hospital, said: “Starting ERAS® fits perfectly with FV Hospital’s strategy of delivering medical excellence to our patients. ERAS® is an evidence-based approach to surgical care aimed at minimising the stress of surgery and accelerating recovery. In other words, it is a care pathway designed to improve the patient’s surgical experience, helping patients to be as well prepared as possible before surgery and supporting an easier and faster recovery.
”With FV Hospital, Encare continues to expand its presence across Asia-Pacific, with 22 hospitals now using EIAS. These include Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore, an ERAS® Society Centre of Excellence, and Gleneagles Hospital Johor, the first hospital in Malaysia to achieve ERAS® Qualification in knee arthroplasty.
