Fingersoft marks One Special Day with Hill Climb Racing 2 in-game event
Fingersoft is bringing One Special Day to Hill Climb Racing 2 with One Special Event, a special in-game event supporting SpecialEffect. Taking place on October 2 this year, One Special Day is an annual games industry fundraising campaign that helps people with physical disabilities play video games.
In the limited-time event in Hill Climb Racing 2, players collect special items shaped like the game controller from the One Special Day logo, which contribute to a shared total, unlocking rewards for the whole community. The mini event is available in Hill Climb Racing 2 from October 1 to 3.
Tom Donegan, SpecialEffect COO, says: “We’re truly thankful for the wonderful support we’ve received from Fingersoft for One Special Day, especially during a challenging period for the industry. As demand for our services continues to rise, this valuable contribution will play a vital role in helping us share the joy of gaming with thousands of people with physical disabilities - and in supporting developers worldwide to make their games accessible to everyone.”
“We’ve supported One Special Day for many years, and this year we wanted to do something more to bring the cause closer to our players. Creating a special event in Hill Climb Racing 2 is a fun way to raise awareness and engage the community. And, of course, we’re also taking part in the traditional way by donating the proceeds from all in-app purchases made in Hill Climb Racing 2 in the UK on October 2 to SpecialEffect,” says Fingersoft’s Product Marketing Manager, Otto Simola.
Fingersoft has been taking part in One Special Day since 2017. Hill Climb Racing 2 is a free-to-play physics-based racing game originally released in 2016. The game combines quirky physics, vehicle customization, and competitive racing, with regular updates and events keeping the experience fresh for its global player community. Hill Climb Racing 2 is available on iOS and Android.
