1 FINCANTIERI TO BUILD A NEW SHIP FOR MARC-HENRY CRUISE HOLDINGS LTD
Fincantieri announced today that it has signed a contract with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, Joint Owner/Operator of Four Seasons Yachts, for the construction of a third ultra-luxury cruise ship, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two companies and confirming Fincantieri's leadership in the high-end hospitality segment. The value of the agreement, subject to financing and other terms and conditions typical of this type of contract, has been defined as large1.
The delivery of the new ship is expected in 2031. It is the third unit of a new class of ultra-luxury cruise ships designed and built by Fincantieri at the Ancona shipyard. The order confirms the success of a pioneering program that is redefining the concept of hospitality at sea. Following the successful delivery of Four Seasons I, the first ship conceived according to Fincantieri's Navis Sapiens vision, which took place earlier this year, and with a second unit under construction that will enter service in early 2028, this new order further strengthens the long-standing collaboration between Fincantieri and Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD and reflects the growing demand for a new category of highly personalized luxury travel experiences.
The new ship will maintain the same "all-suite" residential-style concept that characterizes the first unit of the class. With a length of 207 meters and a gross tonnage of approximately 34,000 tons, it will accommodate suites designed to maximize the connection between guests and the ocean through spacious terraces and outdoor areas.
Pierfrancesco Folgiero, CEO and General Manager of Fincantieri, stated: "This new order represents another significant step in the development of the partnership with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, which has become a benchmark for innovation in luxury hospitality at sea. The decision to expand the fleet with a third ship reflects the solidity of a long-term industrial vision and confirms the market's appreciation for a concept that has successfully created a new segment combining luxury hospitality and advanced shipbuilding. Designed and built at our Ancona shipyard, the ship further strengthens the site's role as Fincantieri's center of excellence for the construction of ultra-luxury ships, where innovation, craftsmanship, and industrial expertise combine to deliver the highest standards of quality and refinement."
