Fazer is renewing the Marianne product family by bringing together several dragée and pastille products under the Marianne brand. The aim of the renewal is to accelerate the international growth of one of Fazer’s best-known brands and introduce these Finnish favourites to new consumers on the international market. The recipes and flavours of the products will remain unchanged.
As part of the renewal, Amerikan pastilli milk chocolate pastilles, Lontoo rae liquorice dragées, Avec dragées and Marianne dragées will be brought under the Marianne brand. A unified brand and packaging design will strengthen the visibility of the products and support their international growth. The renewal will be reflected in the product names and packaging, while the old names will continue to be prominently displayed to help consumers easily find their favourites on store shelves. The traditional wrapped Marianne sweets will remain unchanged.
“Marianne is an iconic Finnish confectionery brand whose recognition and appeal already extend beyond Finland’s borders. Many of our beloved dragée products, on the other hand, are known almost exclusively in Finland. By bringing them together under the Marianne brand, we can build a stronger and more recognisable portfolio while supporting growth in international markets, all while keeping the beloved flavours unchanged,” says Tom Lindblad, Managing Director of the Candy business unit at Fazer Confectionery.

As part of the renewal, the product family will also be expanded with a new product: Marianne Toffee Chocolate Dragées.
Production of Marianne began in 1949, and over the years it has grown from a single product into a strong confectionery brand. The range has included various flavour variants and products, and Marianne is known not only in Finland but also in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The renewed Marianne dragée range will also become available in other Nordic countries.
