EDISON: QATARENERGY ESTENDE FORZA MAGGIORE FINO A INIZIO DICEMBRE PER ULTERIORI
6 CARICHI DI GNL
Milano, 28 settembre 2026 – Edison informa di aver ricevuto una nuova comunicazione da QatarEnergy che conferma il perdurare della causa di forza maggiore impedendo al venditore di adempiere ai propri obblighi contrattuali per le consegne di gas in Italia. QatarEnergy ha informato Edison che non sarà in grado di effettuare le consegne relative a ulteriori 6 carichi di GNL, previsti presso il terminale di ricezione Adriatic LNG in Italia. Questo estende il periodo complessivo di forza maggiore dall’inizio di aprile a inizio dicembre 2026.
Di conseguenza, ad oggi sono complessivamente 35 i carichi di GNL oggetto di forza maggiore nel periodo, per un volume complessivo di circa 4,6 miliardi di metri cubi di gas naturale.
Edison informa altresì che al 28 settembre 2026 i volumi sostituiti presso il terminale Adriatic LNG sono pari a 23 carichi di GNL, corrispondenti a circa 2,3 miliardi di metri cubi di gas naturale. Il Gruppo conferma dunque la sua capacità di reperire gas alternativo per tutti i propri clienti e di essere pienamente in grado di onorare gli impegni c ommerciali assunti.
Edison ricorda che il contratto di lungo termine con QatarEnergy, attivo dal 2009, prevede la fornitura di 6,4 miliardi di metri cubi di gas all'anno all'Italia, per una durata di 25 anni.

EDISON: Q ATARENERGY EXTENDS FORCE MAJEURE UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF
DECEMBER FOR A FURTHER 6 LNG CARGOES
Milan, September 28, 2026 – Edison announces that it has received a further notice from QatarEnergy indicating the continuation of the force majeure event which prevents the seller from fulfilling its contractual obligations for gas deliveries in Italy . QatarEnergy has informed Edison that it will not be able to deliver an additional 6 LNG cargoes scheduled for the Adriatic LNG receiving terminal in Italy . This will effectively extend the overall force majeure period from beginning of April to early December 2026.
As a result, a total of 35 LNG cargoes is now subject to force majeure over this period, representing a total volume of approximately 4.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
Edison also reports that, as at 28 September 2026, the volumes replaced at the Adriatic LNG terminal amounted to 23 LNG cargoes, corresponding to approximately 2.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The Group confirms its ability to source alternative gas for all its customers and to fully honor its past and future commercial commitments .
Edison holds a long -term contract with QatarEnergy for the supply of 6.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year to Italy. The contract, which has been in force since 2009, has a total duration of 25 years.
