Eco Buildings Advances AI-Enabled Manufacturing Expansion as New Production Line Progresses on Schedule and Within Budget
Highlights
- New manufacturing line announced in June now in manufacture, marking an important milestone in Eco Buildings’ strategy to expand production capacity
- AI-enabled automated line remains on schedule and within budget, with operational readiness targeted by the end of 2026
- EPC contractors are progressing under the supervision of Eco’s Albania-based technical team, drawing on designs and engineering experience from the existing facility
Eco Buildings Group plc is pleased to confirm continued progress on the manufacture of its first new production line, ordered and announced in June 2026. The investment represents a significant step in the Company’s ambition to establish a scalable, technology-led manufacturing platform capable of supporting larger construction programmes and future geographic expansion. The line builds on Eco’s proprietary engineering and operating systems developed through its existing manufacturing operations in Durrës, Albania.
Eco’s manufacturing technology is designed to produce precision-engineered glass fibre reinforced gypsum (GFRG) wall panels up to 12 metres long and 3.5 metres high. The established process is capable of manufacturing a wall of approximately 42 square metres in a 30-minute production cycle, offering the potential for fast, repeatable, factory-controlled production at scale.
The next-generation line will incorporate an AI-enabled monitoring and control layer into Eco’s proprietary automated operating system. This is intended to identify emerging equipment faults, sensor issues and inefficiencies before they interrupt production, thereby improving reliability, reducing avoidable downtime and supporting consistent panel quality. These enhancements are designed to strengthen the economics and resilience of high-volume manufacturing; actual performance will be assessed following commissioning.
Eco’s engineering team has already developed the proprietary programming underpinning automation at its Albania facility. This existing technical foundation, together with the Company’s accumulated manufacturing know-how, is being used to support a more efficient and repeatable approach to new-line deployment.
The Company confirms that its EPC contractors are progressing to the agreed programme and budget using designs, drawings and technical data supplied by Eco. Subject to completion, installation and commissioning, the new line is targeted to be operational by the end of 2026. At peak utilisation, it is designed to support up to 2.5 shifts per day, six days per week.
For shareholders, this development is a meaningful step beyond individual project delivery: it strengthens the manufacturing infrastructure needed to pursue a broader commercial pipeline. Additional capacity, combined with precision production and AI-enabled operational monitoring, is intended to help Eco address growing demand for faster, high-quality and cost-efficient construction solutions. The Board sees the ability to replicate its manufacturing platform as central to its longer-term growth strategy, while recognising that commercial outcomes remain dependent on project conversion and successful execution.
Etrur Albani, Executive Vice Chairman of Eco Buildings, commented:
“We are pleased with the progress of our new manufacturing line, which remains on schedule and within budget. This is more than an equipment investment: it is another important step towards building a scalable industrial manufacturing business. We are taking the expertise and automation already developed in Albania and applying it to the next generation of production capability.
“Our objective is clear: to manufacture high-quality building systems at speed, with precision and consistent cost control. By integrating AI-enabled predictive monitoring, we aim to increase equipment reliability and minimise production interruptions as volumes grow.
“As existing projects advance and new opportunities develop, dependable manufacturing capacity will be increasingly important. We believe this new line will strengthen our ability to respond to larger programmes and support the next phase of Eco Buildings’ development. Our team remains firmly focused on delivery, commissioning and converting commercial opportunity into long-term shareholder value.”

Notes
The Company has acquired proven and innovative prefabricated technology which has been in development and commercial use since 2006. Eco Buildings' range of prefabricated, green housing products based on glass fibre reinforced gypsum panels (“GFRG”) provides a construction solution for both affordable and high-end housing.
The market share for factory-based building technology is expected to grow significantly over the coming years as private developers and the public sector seek to address the substantial and growing deficit in housing stock and issues of construction cost, speed and quality and housing affordability.
