New CFO appointment announced at Home Group
One of the UK's largest housing associations has announced the appointment of its new Chief Financial Officer, after former CFO Helen Meehan took over the Chief Executive Officer role earlier this month.
Chris Hopkins has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer and will take up the role with immediate effect. Chris has been Director of Finance at the North-East headquartered organisation since April 2024.
Chris joined Home Group in 2018 as Head of Development Finance, before moving to Director of FP&A in 2022 and Director of Finance in 2024. Previous to joining Home Group he was at PwC.
Chris will take over the role from former CFO Helen Meehan, who recently moved into the CEO role at Home Group after former CEO Mark Henderson retired after 18 years.
Helen Meehan, Chief Executive of Home Group, said: "I'm delighted that Chris is stepping up into the CFO role. His skills and experiences will be vital as we look to set our new strategy and navigate a changing external environment.
Chris brings a deep understanding of Home Group and the sector to the role, and will help build upon our existing strong financial position to ensure we can continue to deliver even more for our customers."
