Didier Branellec appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director
ECO Animal Health Group plc (AIM: EAH), a leading global animal health company developing and marketing branded veterinary products to improve livestock productivity and welfare, announces the appointment of Dr. Didier Branellec as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective immediately.
Didier is a senior life sciences executive bringing over two decades of international corporate strategy and business development experience across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, animal and human health. Didier is currently Senior Vice President, Business Alliances at BioNTech, where he leads global partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and academic institutions and oversees major alliance-related transactions. In addition, Didier has also served as a Strategic Advisor to Archimed, a global healthcare investment firm, to identify investment opportunities in animal health.
Prior to BioNTech, Didier worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, as Vice President, Global Strategy, Business Development & Digital, Animal Health, where he developed the Animal Health business unit strategy and was a member of its executive committee. He was subsequently appointed Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development, with focus on animal health, human pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing.
Didier also spent 15 years at Merial, a leading global animal health company operated as a division of Sanofi, where he held a series of increasingly senior roles, including Vice President and Global Head of Business Development. As a member of the Merial executive leadership team, he successfully executed more than 50 transactions, including in-licensing, commercial and M&A, and played a senior role in the asset swap that saw Merial become part of Boehringer Ingelheim.

In accordance with Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, Didier Branellec (aged 60) has not held any directorships or partnerships in the past five years.
As at the date of this announcement, Didier holds no shares nor any other beneficial interest in the Company.
There is no further information about Didier required to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
