From October 27 to November 7, Desenio will open its first showroom in Stockholm. At Kustom Concept Store at Stureplan, operated by checkout provider Kustom, visitors will be able to discover Desenio’s art up close and experience its collections beyond the digital screen.
Desenio was founded in Stockholm in 2010 and has been creating art for homes around the world. Original works are created at Desenio’s Stockholm Atelier on Södermalm before being turned into posters and canvas prints sold online.
Kustom offers the Nordic region’s leading checkout solution and already serves as Desenio’s checkout partner. The company has also recently expanded its offering into physical retail, with Kustom Concept Store forming part of that initiative.
The temporary showroom at Sturegatan 6 will feature several new releases, a curated art collection and a broader selection from Desenio’s range. Visitors will be able to see colors, details, sizes and materials up close.
“We have fantastic art and are constantly looking for new ways for people to experience it. Today, much of our art is discovered online, and with the showroom we want to give people an opportunity to experience our art and collections in a physical setting. Together with Kustom, we can also test how a seamless shopping experience can work across both online and offline channels. Desenio was founded in Stockholm, so it feels especially exciting to create a place for art in the heart of the city. I see this as an exciting experiment that we can hopefully build on,” says Erik Flinck, CEO of Desenio.
The showroom will be the latest activation at Kustom Concept Store, a flexible retail space next to Kustom’s headquarters at Sturegatan 6. The space allows digital brands to meet their customers and test a physical presence through pop-ups, showrooms, events and product launches, without having to invest in a permanent store.
“For digital brands, meeting customers in person can create considerable value even when a permanent store is not the right option. Kustom Concept Store gives our merchants an opportunity to test new formats on a smaller scale and see what they add to their business and the customer experience. Desenio’s showroom is a good example of how digital and physical commerce can strengthen one another,” says Kamjar Hajabdolahi, CEO of Kustom.
Kustom Concept Store is part of Kustom’s broader ambition to make it easier for merchants to sell wherever their customers are. Kustom has also expanded its offering into physical retail, with the aim of creating a connected shopping experience whether the sale takes place online, in a store or in a temporary physical setting.
Desenio Showroom will be located at Kustom Concept Store, Sturegatan 6, next to Sturegallerian. The showroom will be open from October 27 to November 7, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
