DAIS Solana Purchase
First Solana purchase for the Digital Asset Income Strategy reserve, c.59% below all-time high, to be deployed through Tap Earn
Tap Global Group plc (AIM: TAP, OTCID: TAPIF), the regulated crypto-fintech, announces its first purchase of Solana ("SOL") for the Company's Digital Asset Income Strategy ("DAIS"), a yield-earning reserve of digital assets deployed through the Group's established proprietary Tap Earn programme. The purchase follows the first DAIS acquisition of 3 BTC, announced earlier this week.
Highlights
• 500 SOL acquired at an average price of £91.66 (c.US$121) per SOL, a total of £45,832
• Purchase made c.59% below Solana's all-time high of c.US$293
• DAIS reserve holdings now comprise 3 BTC and 500 SOL, at a total cost of £235,227, held and reported separately from the Group's operational digital assets
• The reserve is being deployed through the Group's Tap Earn programme to generate income; Tap Earn has demonstrated consistently competitive returns since launch in May 2026 of up to 8.0% (annualised) on supported stablecoins, 3.5% on Ethereum, 2.5% on Bitcoin and up to 7% on Solana.
Why Solana
Solana is one of the largest digital assets by market value. It also allows holders to earn rewards by staking their Solana and helping secure the network. This means Solana can potentially generate additional income, making it a good fit for the DAIS, which is also being diversified beyond Bitcoin.
The reserve
As announced on 25 August 2026, unlike a hold-only treasury, the DAIS is designed to generate yield. It is being deployed on the same mechanism as the Tap Earn book, which has grown to over US$8.0 million of customer assets since launch in May 2026. DAIS holdings are held separately from the digital assets the Group uses in its day-to-day operations.
Reporting
The Company will provide an update on the DAIS reserve holdings and performance in the near future. In the meantime, shareholders can track them at investor.withtap.com.
Arsen Torosian, Chief Executive Officer of Tap Global, commented:
"After Bitcoin, Solana is the next asset in our Digital Asset Income Strategy. As a proof-of-stake network, Solana can earn native staking rewards, which is exactly how this reserve is put to work. Again, we are buying well below the peak, at less than half its all-time high, through our own trading desk, on our own platform.
"The DAIS is not a hold-only treasury. It sits alongside an operating fintech with more than 400,000 registered customers, and a yield engine that already pays out weekly. Every asset we add to the DAIS is chosen for its ability to generate income."
Important notes
Cryptoasset values are volatile and may fall as well as rise. Yields are variable and not guaranteed and may fall to zero. Deploying the reserve carries counterparty, custody, liquidity and collateral risks, including liquidation risk on collateralised borrowing. Staking carries additional risks, including lock-up periods and validator performance. The risk factors relating to DAIS are set out at investor.withtap.com. This announcement does not constitute investment advice or a financial promotion of the Tap Earn programme.
