Crunchfish will be joining the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai. Crunchfish will showcase Governed Offline Payments at the exhibition, with CEO Joachim Samuelsson and the Crunchfish India team present. The event also provides an important opportunity to engage with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), banks and other payment ecosystem participants on offline payments.
Crunchfish will exhibit at Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai, September 9–11, one of the world’s largest annual conferences on fintech and related sectors. Crunchfish will showcase its patented Governed Offline Payments, an architecture that enables digital payments to continue even when connectivity or the underlying payment system is temporarily unavailable.
Governed Offline is designed as a Layer-2 capability on top of existing payment systems. Through its reservation-based model, money remains within the regulated financial system while payment authority can be exercised locally offline. This provides payment resilience without creating a parallel form of money or introducing unmanaged credit risk.
Crunchfish has been working with the Indian payment ecosystem on offline acceptance for the Digital Rupee, building on several years of technology development and evaluation of offline payments in India.
