CORRECTED MESSAGE: "...date for the completion of the installation of the second filter press line and for the restart of the second and larger grinding unit of the mill (the ball mill) to end November 2026."
-- 5 October - 2026. Gold Road International plc ("Gold Road") reports on its unaudited production figures for September 2026. See attached report for graphs.
Gold Road processed 13.831 tons of feed in total. The feed included 3.525 tons from the Gold Road Mine (ore) and 10.306 tons of residues from legacy mining operations at the Tom Reed Mine (tailings).
10.625 grams of gold were poured as doré (341 ounces).
The timing of the gold pour is influenced by lag effects, batch structuring of sections of the processing and of the gold pour.
11.372 grams of gold were absorbed onto activated carbon after leaching.
In total about 3.800 tons of underground ore are stockpiled as of end September 2026. The company applies the shrink stoping approach. Shrink stoping implies that the miners extract ore from the bottom up in horizontal slices, blasting the rock overhead. About 80% of the broken ore is left in the stope as a temporary platform to drill the next slice, before being extracted when the whole section (stope) is completed. This is an effective method, though influencing the timing of the gold extraction and processing.
The mill throughput per hour has been reduced somewhat, as an increase in the ratio of underground ore requires a somewhat longer grinding time. Additionally, 3 days of downtime occurred in September as the rod mill feed liners were replaced.
Fabrication delays have pushed the date for the completion of the installation of the second filter press line and for the restart of the second and larger grinding unit of the mill (the ball mill) to end November 2026. The discharge side trunnion and the bearings have been fabricated while the feed side trunnion, including a duplicate, is being casted.
The underground mining operations will shortly run continuously 24/7, with an expected increase in the ore to tailings ratio.
The gold recovered in September 2026 originated, among others, from remnant mining in the 500 East section, in 4201, from the development of the Y-stope and reprocessing of tailings from the Tom Reed Mine. Shrink stope mining is currently done in the Y-stope and in 4201. Mining is also progressing towards the East at the 500 level, extending mining operations further East than ever before. Additionally, previously mined ore is hauled from multiple sections of the mine.
