Board Changes
Surgical Innovations Group plc (AIM: SUN), the designer, manufacturer and distributor of innovative medical technology for minimally invasive surgery (“MIS”), announces the following Board changes:
After 9 years in executive roles at Surgical Innovations,DavidMarshhas decided to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and will transition to the role of Non-Executive Director of the Company on 1 October 2026. As part of this transition,Davidwill continue to support the new CEO, including through key relationships and business development opportunities.Davidjoined the Group following Surgical Innovations’ acquisition of Elemental Healthcare, the company he jointly founded.
Alex Warnock will join the Board of the Company as CEO on the same date. Alex is a commercially driven public company board director with over 25 years’ experience in senior operational roles. Alex brings extensive international experience driving transformational growth and shareholder value across high-tech manufacturing, Photonics and regulated MedTech sectors. He was previously Group Managing Director of SDI Group plc and before that Chief Operating Officer at Foster & Freeman Ltd, Gooch & Housego plc, and Optos plc. He has a proven track record in delivering profitable revenue growth and operational excellence, developing new products, and commercialising complex clinical technologies with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to scaling innovative smaller enterprises and navigating highly regulated global markets.
Commenting on the Board changes, Roy Davis, Chairman of Surgical Innovations plc said: "David has played an important role over the last 20 years in founding the Elemental business, as CEO of the Surgical Innovations team and as a Board member.I would like to thank David for his outstanding commitment to the business and look forward to his continued involvement as a Non-Executive Director and advisor going forward.
