PRESS RELEASE
Siena , 8 October 2026 - Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. (“ BMPS ”) announces that, it has received from IVASS (Istituto per la Vigilanza sulle Assicurazioni – Institute for Insurance Supervision) the authorisation, pursuant to Article 68 of Legislative Decree No. 209 of 7 September 2005, for the acquisition by Mediobanca Premier S.p.A., belonging to the banking group Monte dei Paschi di Siena, o f a direct qualifying holding exceeding 10% of the share capital of A ssicurazioni Generali S.p.A.
Such authorisation forms part of the merger by way of in corporation of Medioban ca – Banca di Credito Finanziario – in BMPS and of the broader corporate reorganisation process which includes the partial demerger of BMPS in favor o f Mediobanca Pre mier S.p.A. (Nuov a Mediobanca) .
