BlincVision and Finnish technology company Sensible 4 are taking the next step in their collaboration on autonomous driving following positive test results in Finland. Sensible 4 will be able to offer BlincVision’s technology as part of its autonomous driving platforms.
Sensible 4 develops autonomous driving solutions for heavy machinery and vehicles. Its technology combines software, sensor fusion and hardware and is designed for retrofit, making it possible to convert existing vehicles for autonomous operation. The solutions are used in areas including mining, construction, logistics, industry and defence.
The evaluation was carried out at OuluZone in Finland, where BlincVision’s technology was tested in an environment with containers and autonomous vehicles simulating a logistics flow. BlincVision’s MVP was integrated into a vehicle and tested together with Sensible 4’s autonomous driving platforms.
“The evaluation shows that BlincVision’s technology helps autonomous vehicles quickly detect what is happening and what is in front of the vehicle. This is an important capability in complex, confined areas, where fast detection can help improve safety, reduce the risk of accidents and avoid unnecessary downtime. We therefore want to be able to offer BlincVision’s technology as part of our autonomous driving platforms. We also see the fact that the technology is developed in Sweden as a strength and a natural part of Nordic collaboration,” says Matias Koski, CEO of Sensible 4.
“Sensible 4 has quickly established itself in autonomous driving through strong entrepreneurship and a clear customer focus. We see clear synergies in the collaboration, where we can build on each other’s strengths while also reaching more customers through Sensible 4’s network,” says Jonas Renander, CCO of BlincVision.
