Property company Vectura announced today that they have signed a lease agreement with Saab to develop a new facility in Jönköping. As part of the transaction, Fastighets AB Balder will acquire a part of the project upon completion.
The new facility, comprising just over 80,000 square metres, will be developed with high ambitions for sustainability, innovation and functionality to meet Saab’s needs. As part of the transaction, Fastighets AB Balder will acquire a part of the project upon completion and will then become a co-owner.
”We are delighted to be part of this initiative and to help strengthen Swedish industry and Sweden’s competitiveness. Balder and Vectura already have a close and valued partnership, which is now being further strengthened, and together we look forward to welcoming Saab as a tenant,” says Emil Engelbrektsson, Chief Property Development Officer at Balder.
The project will be carried out in close collaboration with Saab and the Municipality of Jönköping. It marks Vectura’s first establishment in the municipality, while Balder already owns and manages several commercial properties in Jönköping.
The facility is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy in 2029–2030.
