Ayfie adopts the latest version of the global MCP standard for connecting AI to business systems

Oslo, 29 September 2026 – Ayfie International AS today announces full platform support for the latest major upgrade of the Model Context Protocol, MCP 2026-07-28. MCP is an open standard that helps artificial intelligence connect to the systems, tools and information a company already uses.

Ayfie has supported MCP-based integrations since the beginning of 2025. The new version is now built directly into the Ayfie platform and is actively used across Ayfie’s solutions, including Ayfie Assistant and Ayfie Make.

For customers, the upgrade makes it easier to connect Ayfie to more business systems and data sources. It also provides a stronger foundation for operating reliable and secure AI services as usage grows.

A simpler and more scalable platform Previously, each connection first had to set up and keep a session. Now every request stands on its own, so the service can scale across many servers without keeping track of who is connected. For customers, this provides a simpler and more scalable foundation for operating AI services across large organizations.

At the center of this infrastructure is Ayfie MCP Gateway. It provides one controlled connection point between the Ayfie platform and the business systems, tools and data sources approved by the customer. This allows Ayfie Assistant and Ayfie Make to use relevant information across connected systems without requiring a separate integration for every use case.

For large amounts of company knowledge, Ayfie Index prepares and organizes the information in advance. This allows the platform to search quickly without placing unnecessary strain on the customer’s operational systems.

The platform can search both for exact words, names and figures and for information that matches the meaning of a question.
