Aspia, the leading growth partner offering technology-enabled advisory and business services across Northern Europe, announces that Sofia Götmar-Blomstedt will become CEO of Aspia Group, succeeding Ola Gunnarsson.
Under Ola Gunnarsson’s leadership, Aspia has grown into a leading Northern European provider of tech-enabled advisory and business services, combining accounting, payroll, tax and advisory with a strong digital platform and a growing suite of AI-enabled capabilities.
Building on this foundation, Aspia is now entering its next phase. The focus ahead is to accelerate profitable growth, strengthen structural and operational efficiency, build a more integrated company across its markets, and take a leading role in applying AI and technology to professional services.
“Ola has led Aspia through an important chapter in the company’s development, and we are grateful for his leadership, commitment and contribution. Sofia brings extensive experience from senior leadership roles in advisory and business services, spanning strategy, transformation, AI and digital innovation, and we are confident she is the right leader to take Aspia forward,” says Lars Börjesson, Chair of the Board of Aspia Group.
“I am proud of what we have built at Aspia and grateful for the opportunity to have led the company through this important phase. Aspia has a strong and innovative foundation, strong customer relationships and a clear direction. I believe this is the right time to hand over, and I am very pleased that Sofia will lead the company into its next chapter,” says Ola Gunnarsson.
“Aspia has deep expertise and significant growth potential across the Nordic and European markets. I am honoured to take on the role of CEO and grateful for the trust from Ola and the Board. My focus will be on accelerating growth, strengthening our customer value proposition, and continuing to build Aspia as the leading AI innovator in business services, combining the judgement of our people with technology that removes complexity for our clients,” says Sofia Götmar-Blomstedt.
The leadership transition will take effect on 18 September, which will be Ola Gunnarsson’s last day as CEO of Aspia Group and the day Sofia Götmar-Blomstedt assumes the role of CEO. From 19 September, Ola will continue to support Aspia as Advisor to Group Management.
