ARTCLINE secures additional €3.4 million in funds to support commercialization of its ARTICE® immune cell therapy for treatment of septic shock
Rostock (Germany), September 9, 2026 – ARTCLINE, a biomedical company focused on the development of novel immune cell therapies for the treatment of septic shock, announces the successful completion of a new financing round totaling €3.4 million. The financing round includes a €1 million investment from Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH (MBG MV) and further commitments from both existing and new investors. The funds will be used to support the launch of ARTICE®, the company’s immune cell-based therapy for the treatment of septic shock. ARTCLINE is preparing to publish the topline results from its multicenter, randomized, controlled validation study ReActIF-ICE (NCT05442710) involving 142 patients, which has been recently completed and is currently in read out. “We would like to thank MBG MV and all investors for their continued trust and commitment to ARTCLINE in our joint mission to address septic shock, one of the most critical challenges in intensive care medicine,” said Jens Altrichter, MD, Managing Director and Founder of ARTCLINE GmbH. “Over the years, we have seen growing evidence for the efficacy of ARTICE® and are very confident that our ReActIF-ICE study will confirm earlier clinical results. About Sepsis and Septic Shock Despite continuous advances in research and medicine, the mortality rate associated with sepsis remains high. According to the WHO, approximately 48 million people suffer from sepsis each year, including about 20 million children under the age of five.
