AQILION AB (publ) announces that the Company has received an indicative offer for all shares in the Company. The offer is a result of Aqilion's strategic direction to secure partners for the continued development of the Company's pipeline projects, rather than driving and financing the projects in-house.
During 2026, Aqilion has held parallel discussions with potential partners with the aim of securing the continued development of the pipeline projects, either through partnership or divestment. A number of due diligence processes are currently ongoing ahead of potential contract negotiations regarding both AQ128 and AQ280.
The Company has now also received an indicative offer for the whole of Aqilion. Any transaction is conditional on a due diligence process being carried out and completed. The indicative offer may be adjusted, upward or downward, as a result of this review.
At present, there is no finalized offer for shareholders to consider. Aqilion will inform shareholders in accordance with applicable rules as the process progresses.
"We are encouraged by the interest shown in Aqilion and our pipeline. At the same time, it is important to stress that this is an indicative offer at an early stage and a due diligence process remains before anything can be put to a decision. We will keep our shareholders continuously informed as our ongoing discussions develop." says Sarah Fredriksson, CEO of Aqilion.
The Chair of Aqilion, Professor Bertil Lindmark commented: “We are delighted to see the continuous interest both for our projects and for the company as a whole. While the process for sale of the whole company is ongoing, we are continuing the parallel process of out-licensing the lead projects, AQ 280 which in clinical phase, and AQ 128 which is heading towards human studies”.

About Aqilion
Aqilion is a biotech company focused on developing new, innovative treatments for diseases caused by chronic inflammation and dysfunctional immunological responses, such as autoimmune diseases.
We identify innovative ideas with the potential to become new medicines and develop them into commercially attractive projects. The ideas we select are based on solid scientific grounds, where, with reasonable assumptions, we can clearly understand the underlying biology, clinical relevance, and patient benefit.
The Company is primarily active in the early phases of drug development, from the idea stage through to proof-of-concept in clinical studies. Aqilion runs its development programs in a partly virtual organization, in close collaboration with selected partners with specialist expertise in drug development.
