Appointment of Non-executive Director
AIQ (LSE: AIQ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sham Che Wai (“Martin”) as a Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Martin is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in equity capital markets, corporate finance and IPO sponsorship. He is currently a Responsible Officer at China International Securities Limited (“CISL”), where he is also a director, which is a well-established securities firm and a subsidiary of one of the leading financial services groups in Hong Kong, China International Investment Holding Limited (“CIIHL”). At CISL, Martin oversees client services, trading operations, regulatory compliance and risk management. Martin is also a Non-executive Director of Hong Kong-listed Jufeel International Holdings Limited, a Malaysia-based IT services provider, and Syntara AI LLC, a Texas incorporated company providing AI-powered trading intelligence.
Martin began his career as a Paralegal at Khoo & Co. before joining Cinda International Capital Limited, in September 2018, as an Assistant Manager in Corporate Finance, focusing on IPO sponsorship. In July 2024, Martin took on the role of Head of Equity Capital Markets at Ruibang Securities Limited. In this position, he supervised ECM transactions, organised investor meetings and roadshows, and oversaw front-line customer services. He also managed KYC/AML compliance, broker liaison, risk management and regular compliance reviews.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Australia.
As announced on 6 July 2026, CISL was the facilitator of the Company’s convertible loan note instrument. CIIHL is the holder of £0.5m of loan notes under that facility. Accordingly, Martin is not deemed by the Company to be independent.
There are no further disclosures to be made in accordance with UKLR 6.4.8R of the UK Listing Rules in relation to Martin’s appointment.
