Appointment of Non-executive Director and Chair Designate
Renew (AIM: RNWH), the leading Engineering Services Group supporting the maintenance and renewal of critical UK infrastructure, today announces the appointment of Pete Raby as independent Non-executive Director and Chair designate with effect from 5 October 2026.
Pete will succeed David Brown as Chair of Renew from the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting on 27 January 2027, when David will step down from the Board after over nine years of service.
Pete is currently Non-executive Director of Hill & Smith plc and Chemring Group plc and was CEO of Morgan Advanced Materials plc until July 2025. He previously held a number of senior executive roles at Cobham plc and was a partner at McKinsey & Company. Upon joining the Board, Pete will become a member of the Audit & Risk, Nomination and Remuneration committees.
The appointment follows a rigorous search process undertaken by the Nomination Committee of the Board, led by Shatish Dasani, Renew's Senior Independent Non-executive Director.
Shatish Dasani, Senior Independent Non-executive Director of Renew, commented:
"Following a thorough search process to identify and select a new Chair, I am delighted to welcome Pete to Renew. With a strong background and extensive experience, I am confident he will make a significant contribution to the continued strategic development of the Group.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank David for his leadership, support and commitment to Renew during his nine-year tenure. The Group has grown significantly under his stewardship and delivered outstanding shareholder returns. He leaves the business in an excellent position with strong long-term growth prospects."
David Brown, Chair of Renew, commented:
"It has been a privilege to work at Renew over the last 9 plus years. During that time there has been a transformation in every aspect of the business. From a doubling of revenue and a trebling of operating profit to the further embedment of a safety and values led organisation which focuses on its people. It has been a great journey to be a part of and one for which I am immensely grateful to the executives and my fellow Board members for their support, challenge and partnership along the way. I am confident that Renew will continue to go from strength to strength."
There is no further information to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules in connection with Pete's appointment as Non-executive Director.
