Appointment of Executive Chairman
28 July 2026 - Allergy Therapeutics plc (AIM: AGY), the fully integrated commercial biotechnology company specialising in allergy immunotherapies, today announces the appointment of Helge Weiner-Trapness as Executive Chairman. Helge succeeds Peter Jensen OBE, who is stepping down from the role of Non-Executive Chairman following more than 15 years at the Group.
Helge Weiner-Trapness, who has been Chief Strategy Officer and an Executive Director of the Group since January 2026, brings more than 30 years of experience across leading global investment banks in the US and Asia, most recently as Vice Chairman, Global Banking at HSBC Holdings plc (LSE: HSBA; HKG: 0005). Helge also served on the Board of International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm), the innovative funding arm of the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi).
In his new role Helge will provide additional corporate and strategic leadership alongside Manuel Llobet, Chief Executive Officer, particularly as the Group continues to explore a potential dual primary listing on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, alongside its existing listing on AIM.
Peter who has served on the Board since 2010 and as Chairman since 2011, has overseen a period of considerable transformation for the Group, with notable commercial and clinical progress, through a shifting regulatory landscape for allergy immunotherapies. He will continue to serve on the Board as a Non-Executive Director to allow a smooth transition and will not stand for re-election at the next Annual General Meeting. The Board extends its gratitude and appreciation for his contribution and leadership.
